Aww-- first off, thank you for supporting my work! I'm glad to know that print found a good home. Second-- thanks for coming here and letting me know your thoughts! I love meeting other Tutu fans-- they're some of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!
That reminds me-- I'm long overdue for another Tutu drawing! Thanks for helping me remember hehe.
Haha no problem . I'm just glad I found your deviant page finally. I remember I told myself I would definitely follow you on dA when I finally got around to getting one. I had saved your business card all those Otakons ago, but then I lost it. So, I guess finding that image again was a lucky chance so I could finally follow your art . You are really talented .
They never explained any reasons outright. Tutu is a storybook character that is a graceful, older, idealized princess version of Ahiru. "Another her" that isn't truly her. By making Tutu older, it emphasizes the fact that young Ahiru is very insecure how clumsy and awkward she is in all her inexperienced ways and how she fears Mytho only has feelings for "Tutu" and not Ahiru.
